Awesome Trait for Virtual Administrative Assistants

According to Life Hack, minimalism is performing tasks in the simplest way as possible. This is an awesome trait for Virtual Administrative Assistants being able to produce quality work and virtual services in the simplest way and to perform other virtual duties. Minimalism is also the art of removal or eliminating things that distracts us. These are physical things like a pile of paper used and unused, coils of wire, trinkets, colored sticky notes, television or any thing not related to work that cluttered up work space. Theses are also social media, friends, videos and such.

Distractions

However, virtual administrative assistants tend to get easily distracted by unnecessary things, which can lead to being unproductive. Practicing Minimalism while working at home as a Virtual Administrative Assistant gives you clarity of mind. It points to the right direction to finish one virtual task at a time without getting distracted with things unrelated. You can also simplify your these virtual tasks while staying productive and still be efficient.

Calmness for Virtual Administrative Assistants Works

Too much thinking for virtual administrative assistants is a no-no because it leads to stress and when stress hits up our bodies we became unproductive. We lose focus. We aren’t able to provide the best virtual services for our clients, if we feel stress making us unhappy. Whatever our body is going through it shows through work produced.

This is more challenging for virtual assistants who have more than one client, but challenging yourself to do minimalism and organized is a good start.

Confident

When we have more time for other tasks and we are stress-free. We become more confident of ourselves. Our thoughts and ideas are clear, focused and goal-driven. Making us more a valuable part of our company. We begin to see more of our virtual administrative assistant skills and positive attitudes to share to the team.

How To Achieve Minimalism as Virtual Administrative Assistant?

Let Go

Let go of the negative things that you are used to. If you’re used to having trinkets on your drawer and this distracts you, you might want to eliminate it. For coil of wires, you may want to consider wireless keyboards and mouse. Remove printer on your work space if is not used often for your virtual services.

2-3 Minute Pick Up

Give yourself a two to three minutes each day to remove unnecessary things until you put away distractions. It is very easy and you will get on top of it day by day until your work space just stays clean. This is also true with subscription email list. Filter unnecessary email subscription to avoid delay while reading the message of your client.

Hiding in Drawers

I believe that it is better to downsize than buying more storage because you tend to forget and unnecessary things piles up again. Using drawers is useful for other things, but avoid the temptation to stuck everything in there just to show your work space is clean. Just by simply opening your drawer gives distraction to your thoughts while doing your best for virtual services.

Defeat Distractions

Believe you can do it! Believe it is for your own health. Believe it is for your career as a virtual assistant and for your family. It will not be easy, but this is the challenge as you for your goals and for everybody especially your client.
